The Sanctuary Choir is the most visible ensemble at Holy Trinity, singing most Sundays throughout the year and Cantatas during Lent and Advent. We sing a variety of traditional choral anthems, African-American Spirituals, modern choral works, hymn and praise song arrangements.
The choir sometimes sings in combination with the other ensembles. Our regular accompaniment usually comes from organ or piano, but we also sing a cappellaselections and often in combination with brass, wind, handbell, and percussion players.
Special Music Teams, such as the Men’s Choir, Women’s Choir, Mens’ Quartet, Trinité Trio, and soloists are drawn from the ranks of the Sanctuary Choir.
All skill levels are welcome, and while being able to read music is a plus, it is not required. Most music is given out well in advance, to allow singers ample time to learn pieces well. Each intense, fun-filled rehearsal starts with vocal warm-ups and ends with prayer.
